Mateusz Komorowski — profile of the President of the WPiA UW Alumni Club

Mateusz Komorowski is a Polish lawyer, political scientist and manager, and at the same time an active civic and public-policy figure, specialising in strategic advisory, public relations, and the development of civil society. He is a graduate of the College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities (MISH) of the University of Warsaw, where he completed, with distinction, simultaneous master's studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration and at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. He further developed his professional training through Executive MBA studies in the field of national defence and internal security at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, likewise completed with distinction, as well as through the annual Postgraduate Managerial Studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He has also completed the Academy of Public Service under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Poland, as well as the Club of Gdańsk programme.

For more than a decade he has been actively engaged on behalf of civil society. In 2012 he founded the International Institute of Civil Society (MISO) — an independent non-governmental organisation of which he is the founder and President of the Management Board, and whose mission is to promote civic attitudes, public education, and to increase the engagement of Poles in economic and public life. He also sits, as an expert, on the Social Dialogue Committee of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, contributing to the building of relations between the business community and its social environment. He has enriched his experience through prestigious international programmes — as an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) funded by the United States Department of State, and as a scholar of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation within the Summer School Berlin, as well as of the World Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs (PCY Program).

He combines academic experience with advisory practice and work in non-governmental organisations — for more than a decade he has been building bridges between business, public administration and expert communities in Poland and abroad.

In his professional and business activity he focuses on strategic advisory. As the founder and President of the Management Board (CEO) of Yarden Advisory Group, he supports enterprises operating at the intersection of business, law, public policy and regulatory security. He specialises in political and economic risk analysis, corporate advisory, and the coordination of relations with institutional partners. He gained his earlier experience, among other roles, as a lawyer at Warsaw law firms and as an adviser to the management board of an international investment fund.

In assuming, on 14 May 2026, the office of President of the WPiA UW Alumni Club, Mateusz Komorowski sets himself the aim of building an active, intergenerational community of lawyers — one that unites the tradition of the Faculty with new forms of cooperation, mentoring, and openness to the world.
