Content Positioning on Digital Markets in European Union Law

A comprehensive analysis of provisions concerning content positioning on online platforms in EU law and selected Member States.

A project financed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education under the "Science Pearls" Programme.

The project focuses on a comprehensive analysis of legal provisions relating to the economic positioning of content on online platforms. The research subject encompasses EU law and the law of selected Member States.

The research will include an analysis of legal acts, acts of law application, CJEU case law, accompanying guidelines and other manifestations of soft law. The terms and conditions/terms of service of online platforms, created by their providers, will also be examined.

The aim of the project is to answer the question of whether the regulation of positioning by EU law is adequate and coherent, and to what extent it achieves its stated objectives: consumer protection, competition, contestability on digital markets, and the protection of personal data subjects' rights.
