General information

Professor at the University of Warsaw, doktor habilitowany of legal sciences, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and of the inter-university individual humanities programme “Academia Artes Liberales” (individual interdisciplinary studies in philosophy, sociology, and political sciences at the Jagiellonian University).
Expert for non-governmental organisations, President of the “Laboratorium Prawa i Gospodarki” Foundation. Deputy Head of the Centre for the Promotion of Polish Legal Sciences, where he manages the Kyiv Section, whose tasks include initiating Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in science, economic cooperation, and expert collaboration. Expert for the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Chairman of the Commission for the PROM “Bridges to Asia – International Scholarship Exchange for Doctoral Students and Academic Staff” programme.
For several years, he gained experience working as a senior lawyer in a renowned Warsaw law firm, and also served as a member of supervisory boards of companies and prepared numerous legal opinions and draft normative acts commissioned by bodies and offices of public authority (including the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the European Parliament, the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, ministries, and central offices).
Author of several dozen academic publications, including several books on liability for damages due to unlawful exercise of public authority, the institutions of bank loans indexed and denominated to foreign currency exchange rates, and the theory and practice of legislation. Speaker at numerous international academic conferences abroad (e.g., in China, India, the Republic of South Africa, England, Portugal, Croatia, and Ukraine).
He has taught classes at several foreign universities, lecturer at the 1st edition of the Belvedere Summer School, repeatedly recognised for high evaluations of his teaching activities, and has frequently conducted training sessions and courses for public administration employees, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organisations, lawyers, and economists.
His areas of academic interest include: banking law, constitutional law, and civil law, economic analysis of law, issues of legal interpretation, broadly understood legislation and jurisprudence, and the study of the real functioning of law.
