Legal History

Four chairs and a department of administrative history — from Roman law and the European legal tradition to the history of the Polish state and universal legal history.

State and Legal Sciences

Philosophy of law, legal logic and argumentation, history of political-legal doctrines, constitutional law and sociology of law — the foundations of reflection on the state.

Legal and Administrative Sciences

Administrative law and procedure, financial, labour, insurance and agricultural law, and public administration in the era of digital transformation.

Criminal Law

Substantive and comparative criminal law, criminal procedure, forensic science and international criminal procedure.

Independent Centres and Research Teams

Interdisciplinary research centres and specialist teams running projects that reach beyond the scope of traditional chairs.

International programmes

Schools of Foreign Law

Eight schools run jointly with partner faculties from the USA, the United Kingdom, China, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and Eastern Europe & Central Asia — taught in the original languages.
