Agreement with an IT industry leader!
A new collaboration between the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and CGI, a global company operating in information technology and business consulting, opens up space for combining academic knowledge, market experience, and technological competencies. The partnership aims to foster the creation of interdisciplinary solutions addressing the dynamic changes occurring in the energy sector.
The cooperation agreement was signed by dr. hab. Sławomir Żółtek, prof. ucz., Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, and Bartłomiej Nieścierowicz, President of the Management Board of CGI in Poland.
Under the concluded agreement, CGI will closely collaborate with the Centrum Transformacji Energetycznej WPiA UW, led by dr. hab. Filip Elżanowski. Joint activities will focus on issues related to the legal, regulatory, technological, and business aspects of energy transformation.
The partnership is intended to lead to better coordination of activities between the academic and business communities, thereby enabling a more effective response to new challenges related to, among others, decarbonisation, digitisation of the energy sector, the development of renewable energy sources, and the implementation of new regulations.
An important element of the cooperation will be the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices among CGI experts, academic staff, and students of the University of Warsaw. The partners also plan to carry out joint research, expert, and educational projects, organise conferences, seminars, and workshops, and prepare analyses and recommendations regarding key directions for the development of the energy sector.
Furthermore, the established cooperation will create opportunities for involving students and young researchers in projects carried out at the interface of law, technology, and business. This will enable participants in these initiatives to gain practical experience, learn about real market needs, and develop competencies essential for working in sectors undergoing intensive transformation.
The agreement between WPiA UW and CGI serves as an example of collaboration where the academic potential of the university merges with the knowledge and experience of an international technology company. Joint initiatives are intended to support the development of innovative solutions and build dialogue among science, business, and public administration.
