Agreement with the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw

6 August 2026

We are delighted to announce that on 06.08.2026, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw signed an agreement with the OIRP in Warsaw concerning the admission of its members to the Doctoral Programme.

The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw have entered into an agreement concerning cooperation in the field of legal education and professional development. The document was signed by Dr. Habil. Sławomir Żółtek, University Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, and Legal Adviser Anna Sękowska, Dean of the Council of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw.

The initiative aims to encourage professionally active lawyers to further develop their theoretical and practical competencies. As part of the cooperation, the Faculty will invite individuals designated by the Chamber to participate in the Doctoral Programme, enabling them to deepen their legal knowledge, refine their academic skills, and conduct research on issues relevant from the perspective of professional practice.

One of the main objectives of the agreement is to prepare participants for undertaking independent research work. The programme is intended to support the development of skills in formulating research problems, conducting in-depth analyses, and devising solutions that address contemporary legal challenges.

The project also serves to strengthen relations between the academic community and legal practitioners. Its essence is the mutual rapprochement of scholarship and practice: the professional experiences of legal advisers can become a source of valuable research topics, while the results of conducted research can provide inspiration and support in daily professional work.

We believe that the cooperation between the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw will contribute to the development of modern legal practice and strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives of academia and the legal adviser profession. Participants in the Doctoral Programme will gain additional analytical and research tools, which they will be able to utilise in their professional activities, and the studies they produce will enrich the debate on current issues in the application of law.
