Seminarium "Approaches to regulating AI - the perspective of Taiwan and the EU"

Please join us for a seminar with Prof. Ching-Yi Liu (Graduate Institute of National Development, National Taiwan University), where she will give an introductory lecture on the approach to AI regulation in Taiwan, including AI-related data protection issues.

The lecture will be followed by a presentation by Dr Iga Małobęcka-Szwast (Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw), who will outline the EU's approach to regulating AI, focusing, among other things, on the challenges of using personal data as training data. The seminar will provide an opportunity to identify regulatory challenges faced by Taiwan and the EU.

Learning about different regulatory perspectives on AI will allow us to consider what the ideal AI regulation should look like (and whether finding one is even possible). The presentations will be followed by a discussion and a Q&A session.
