Summer School - Methodologies of legal sciences and research work

Summer School - Methodologies of legal sciences and research work is a good opportunity for young researchers to obtain comprehensive methodological competences. Participation in the program will help doctoral and post-doctoral students to improve their theoretical knowledge about law and its practical application in different areas.

The lectures will be held by outstanding experts, professors recognized in Poland and abroad, specialists in basic areas of legal sciences (administrative law, civil law, criminal law international law, legal history and comparative law, legal theory and philosophy of law). Participants will have a chance to discuss their research topics with our experts and establish fruitful contacts with them.

Who can apply?
The Summer School is aimed at doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers. We welcome applications from all fields of legal sciences. About twenty participants will be invited, expected to fully attend and participate in the entire four-day program. They will be selected through an open competition, based on the assessment of their scientific achievements.

Please send your scientific CV (1-2 pages) by the 30 th of September 2024 (midnight, CET time), using our Summer School’s email address: methodology@wpia.uw.edu.pl.

Fees and accommodation
There are no tuition fees, and participation in the Summer School is free of charge. Participants are to cover the travel costs to Warsaw. The event will take place from October 27 th to October 30 th 2024, at the European Center for Geological Education of the University of Warsaw in Chęciny, near Kielce. Free transport from Warsaw to the Center will be provided.

  • Prof. dr habil. Tadeusz Tomaszewski (criminalistics)
